Youth killed in accident 

Police identified the victim as 21-year-old Keshar Bahadur Singh of Simkhet, Mahabai rural municipality-3 in Kalikot district. Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office Surkhet, Dilli Raj Panta, said the tipper (Bhe 1 Kha 2242) had knocked down the motorcycle (Bhe 1 Pa 2178) Singh had been riding.   

Earthquake rattles Bajura 

An earthquake was felt in Bajura today morning. The Seismological Centre Kathmandu stated that the tremor that occurred at 7.59am measured 4.2 in the Richter scale.     Seismologist Mukunda Bhattarai said the epicenter of the earthquake was located at Dobato to the north of Rugin and to the south of Bichhya of Himali rural municipality.

Relief amount provided to victim family 

Relief amount has been provided to the family of 10-year-old boy Ishak Sunar, who lost life in leopard attack at Lohipakha of Bandipur rural municipality in the district yesterday.          Division Forest Office, Tanahu, provided Rs 50,000 as the expense for death rituals to the victim family today.

  Hooch seized, destroyed   

Police have seized huge amount of hooch from various hotels. A team led by In-charge of Area Police Office of Banepa, Yogendra Timalsina, seized some 2,500 litres of homemade liquor on Monday evening.

Mukundeshwori Wall, resembling Great Wall of China, being built in Bandipur

The construction of the 3000 metres long trekking trail and the 1,300 metres long wall named 'Mukundeshwori Wall' had begun since last fiscal year, informed Bandipur Rural Municipality Chairperson, Purna Singh Thapa. The wall will be constructed on a section of the trail.

Ncell towers torched in Chitwan, Sindhuli and Palpa 

The unidentified groups have set fire the Ncell towers in various districts such as Chitwan, Sindhuli and Palpa on Sunday night.     The tower of the private telecommunications company installed at Khairahani Municipality-2 was torched, incurring damages to the generator and the transformer, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.

Year-old girl dies after drowning in water-filled bucket   

A 12-month old girl has died after drowning in a bucket full of water at Agarwa of Kabilasi municipality-8 in the district. Nandani, daughter of Saroj Kumar Yadav of the municipality, drowned while playing, said the police.
