Three held with gun, cartridge in Birgunj 

A team of the Armed Police Force (APF), Nepal on Thursday nabbed three persons for possessing a gun and its cartridge. Superintendent of AFP, Nepal Tej Prasad Pokharel said the three were held along with a long-range gun and its cartridge from Nahar Chowk area of Bindabasini Rural Municipality-3 in Parsa.

At least 1,417 civilians have died in Ukraine since the Russian invasion began, the UN Human Rights office (OHCHR) said Monday. Of those who died, at least 121 were children, according to OHCHR. At least 2,038 civilians have been injured.

Six people shot dead in Sacramento city centre

At least six people have been killed and 12 injured in a shooting in the centre of Sacramento, police in California's state capital say. People fled through the streets after rapid gunfire rang out in an area packed with restaurants and bars in the early hours of Sunday.

A man died in a tiger attack at Chitwan National Park. The deceased has been identified as Suresh BK, 39, of Madi municipality-9, Bandarjhula, shared CNP's information officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari.

Motorcyclist killed in road accident  

A man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a tractor at Gauradaha in Jhapa district on Saturday evening. Ram Hemaram, 40, of Gauradaha-9 died on the spot when his motorcycle (No. 2 Pa 3912) collided with a tractor (Ko 1 Ka 2479) parked on the side of the road, according to the Area Police Office, Gauradaha.
