70 animal firms in Baglung selected for grants   

Seventy firms involving in poultry and animal farming in Baglung district have been selected for grants given by the government under the campaign to promote small scale trade. The Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Service Expert Centre, Baglung with assistances from the Gandaki provincial government has launched the campaign to promote small scale firms.

Child labor in the brick industry of Tulsipur  

Brick kilns in Tulsipur Sub-metropolis of Dang have been found employing child labor. It has been found that there are around 350 child laborers working in the brick industries within the sub-metropolis.    

Commuting along Karnali Highway risky

After completing the construction, Karnali Highway was opened in 2007 as the major road to Jumla. The 232-km highway connects Jumla with Surkhet. The highway has helped people and vehicles commuting to and through the Himalayan district of Jumla but the narrow paths along the highway have made it risky. According to pedestrians and vehicle operators, the highway has several narrow roads where two vehicles coming from opposite sides cannot cross at once.

48 schools selected for PERP

A total of 48 schools in Tanahun have been selected for the President Educational Reform Programme. Under the annual programme of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for the current fiscal year 2078/79, these schools have been selected for the President Educational Reform Programme. Four persons die in separate incidents in Bhaktapur

Similarly, yet another man was found dead at Suryabinayek-9 in the district. According to Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, 78-year-old Shivaram Shreemali died after falling off the ladder at his home in Sanothimi. Deputy Superintendent of Police Raju Pandey said Shreemali died while receiving treatment at Nepal-Korea Friendship Hospital.

197 paramedics promoted 

The Department of Health Services (DoHS) has promoted 197 professionals of the paramedic’s group from the fourth tier to the fifth tier.

20 crocodiles released in Rapti River   

Twenty crocodiles of locally known as Ghariyalas were released into the Kasara-based Rapti River today. The animals were reared at the Crocodile Breeding Center of the Chitwan National Park. With this, the number of crocodiles released in various rivers in the current fiscal year has reached 107.    

Bird counting through 'Chhimeki Chara' for the first time in Nepal  

Counting of birds will begin through 'Chhimeki Chara' app at 66 districts including Kanchanpur from February 19.     The Bird Conservation Nepal is going to carry out counting of birds through app for the first time in Nepal. Ornithologist Hirulal Dagaura said that the organisation is mobilizing the volunteers to count the birds through app.    

44 lepers found in six months in Banke   

Forty-four new cases of leprosy have been found in the six months of this fiscal year in Banke district. Leprosy resource person at Public Health Office Manab Nepali informed that they were found at eight local levels in the district.  

18,115 more voters in Kalikot  

Kalikot district has recorded 18,115 more voters in the latest update. The District Election Office here informed that it totaled the voters for the coming May 13 local level election at 83,076.    

Two electrocuted  

Two persons from the same family died with short circuit at Tinau Rural Municipality of Palpa district on Thursday evening. Suraj Sunar, 20, and his brother Rakesh Sunar, 14, were electrocuted while fishing at Tinau-2.   

32 schools in Lamjung selected for PERP 

Thirty two schools in Lamjung district have been selected for the President Educational Reform Programme (PERP).     Under this programme, the selected schools will get Rs 62 million in grant, according to the Centre for Education and Human Resource Development (EHRD) under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.  

Cabinet expansion political need: CM Rai

Chief Minister at Province-1 Rajendra Kumar Rai has said the Cabinet was expanded to lessen the burden and address political needs. CM Rai argued that the previous government had not done any good work.    

NRNA's election schedule made public
