Health status of Awasthi made public

Karnali Festival from March 11 

The third edition of Karnali Utasav –Kuda Karnalika (Karnali festival) will be beginning from March 11 at Birendranagar of Surkhet, the capital of Karnali Province.      The three-day annual event will see open debate sessions on multiple issues particularly concerning Karnali and the issues of national importance as well, according to organiser Hriti Foundation.

Two dead, two injured in accident

The District Police Office, Rukum identified the decease as Govinda Budha of around 25 years of age of Puthauttarganga rural municipality-14 and Damu Budha, 25, of Upper Sakim of Bhume-5. They died amidst the medical treatment, according to the information officer of DPO, Rukum, Dipendra Baniya.

Man electrocuted

A person was electrocuted at Dakneswori municipality-9, Patthargadha in Saptari last night. Mahadev Yadav, 42, a local, was electrocuted, police informed.

The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security has formed different taskforces and talk committees to manage foreign employment and the domestic labour market. Labour Minister Krishna Kumar Shrestha constituted six taskforce and committees so as to manage foreign employment and the domestic labour market.

Woman dies in tiger attack  

A woman was killed in an attack by a tiger in Bardiya. Lily Tharu, 41, of Sainwar in Thakurbaba Municipality-4 has died after being attacked by a wild tiger, police said.     According to police, the tiger attacked her while she was feeding her pigs near the house on Tuesday evening. The body of Tharu was later recovered in a dismembered condition.    

Cyclist killed in road accident  

A cyclist has died after being hit by a truck at Bhantabari of Koshi-8, Sunsari last night. The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Bharat Sahani.    

Rural municipality runs its own ambulance   

The Dhaulagiri rural municipality of Myagdi is going to operate an ambulance. An ambulance has been procured to provide easy and accessible transportation for medical treatment to the residents of the geographically remote villages.
