As lack of roadways have made transportation of empty cylinders expensive in Humla, the price of filled gas cylinders hiked by almost 10 times.

Truck carrying rice falls off bridge  

A person was injured when a rice-loaded truck skidded off the Number 2 bridge on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section this morning. The injured is the truck driver, 33-year-old Sher Bahadur Gurung of Sunawal, Nawalparasi, the District Police Office Chitwan said.   

Rajarshi Janak University offering courses in public health and law

The Rajarshi Janak University is to offer Bachelor level courses in law and public health subjects from the current academic session.     As per the University's new academic plan, it is running classes in BPH in public health and LLB in law. The process for this has already been forwarded.

Poisonous food causes deaths of three rhinos in CNP

The preliminary report shows that a rhino which was found dead last Saturday at Seheri, East Nawalparasi had died as the animal happened to consume toxic food. According to CNP senior veterinary doctor Dr Bijay Shrestha, a rhino had succumbed to poisonous food at Tamaspur area last week, which was preceded by the one death at Ganjipur area a month ago.  

Two school bus set on fire   

Two school bus parked inside the premises of the Zenith International School in Piple of Hetauda sub-metropolis-5 were set ablaze last night. Locals saw the buses with registration number Na. 7 Kha. 8728 and Na. 1 Ka. 3218 on fire and informed police.
