Pakistan plane crashes near Karachi, all 107 killed

The aircraft crashed into a crowded neighborhood on the edge of the airport. Mayor Wasim Akhtar said at least five or six houses were destroyed in the crash. It wasn’t immediately known how many casualties were from among the residential area.

Two local journalists aged 24 and 29 of Kapilvastu tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, said Dirghanarayan Poudel, Chief District Officer of the district. The COVID-19 tally of Kapilvastu has reached 69 until now.

Army unit stationed at Ghantibagar of Darchula   

Nepal Army has deployed a 'section plus' unit near Ghantibagar area of Darchula district. The government had on April 26 decided to give the responsibility to the Army to construct 87 kilometres road section under the Mahakali corridor (Darchula Tinkar Road Project).

Hotels and resorts are to be used as quarantine facilities for accommodating citizens to be brought from abroad.     Minister of State Rambir Manandhar, in a discussions held at the Ministry of Urban Development on Thursday, shared that necessary consultations have begun for managing as quarantine the hotels and resorts operating in systematic manner throughout the country.

900 Nepalis enter Nepal via Saptari border points after operation of railway in India

As many as 900 Nepalis have entered Nepal from various border points of Saptari district. A total of 116 Nepalis including seven women and 109 men entered Nepal on Thursday itself. Following the relaxation of lockdown and operation of railway services in India, 898 persons, 72 women and 826 men have entered Nepal via various border points of the district, said, Duniyalal Yadav, chief of Saptari District Health Office.

Number of coronavirus infected reaches 27 in Jhapa   

The number of people contracting coronavirus in Jhapa district has reached 27. As per updates released by the Ministry of Health and Population this morning, 15 new cases were found among the people from Ward No 3, 6 and 7 of Kachankawal rural municipality.
