By Saroj Dhungel, Kathmandu, May 23: A lab technician of Grande International Hospital, Tokha, has tested positive for COVID-19.
A 35-year old male working at Grande Hospital's laboratory tested COVID-19 positive, informed Dr Bashudev Pandey, Chief of Epidemiology and Disease Control Division.
Dr Pandey said that contact tracing of those who had come in contact with the patient had started in the hospital.
The patient has been receiving treatment in isolation of Patan Hospital.
Meanwhile, Dr Chakraraj Pandey, Director of Grande International Hospital said that all the details of the patient would be revealed by today evening.
He said that the hospital had prepared a separate ward for treatment of COVID-19 patients.
Chief of Epidemiology and Disease Control Division said, "The ward where the infected person worked should be sealed. Sealing the ward doesn’t fall under the division's jurisdiction."
