By Deepak Prasad Gautam, Birgunj, May 23: Nine COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in Narayani Hospital of Birgunj have been discharged after recovering from the virus.
Four men from Parsa district including an Indian, two from Bara and three from Rautahat have been discharged from the hospital as they tested negative for COVID-19 in the last two Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test, informed Dr Madan Upadhyaya, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital.
Dr Upadhyaya said that all of the patients returned to their respective homes today. A member of Muslim Commission has taken the responsibility of the Indian national, he said.
The Indian national and a youth of Rautahat, who were discharged today had tested COVID-19 negative on April 26.
But after they tested positive in the re-test, they were again admitted to the hospital on May 2. They now tested COVID-19 negative after 21 days of stay in the hospital.
