Rupandehi, May 22: The Nepal Army (NA) personnel disposed the dead body of COVID-19 infected person today. The man had died yesterday.
The person who was from Purkot of Madane Rural Municipality Ward No 6 from Gulmi district had died at a hospital of Tilottama in Rupandehi district in course of treatment.
The meeting of the Hospital management, Nepal Police, Nepal Army and local people’s representatives took the decision to dispose the dead body in a jungle in the eastward from Butwal, according to the District Administration Office, Gulmi.
The bereaved family members as well as mourners did not attend the final rites of the deceased due to the risks of infection.
The deceased was admitted to the hospital on May 14 after complaining of severe fever and headache and succumbed to the deadly infection.
