Five sent home from quarantine as they tested negative in RDT test positive in PCR

Fire in Surya Binayak Cow Farm kills livestock 

At least four cows including two calves and hens of various breed died after a fire broke out at a cow farm owned by a local at Dadhikot at Suryabinayak Municipality-4 in Bhaktapur district on Tuesday night.

   COVID-19 infected tally touches 145 in Gandaki State 

Number of people testing positive for coronavirus has reached 145 in Gandaki State.     According to a press statement issued by State Health Directorate Pokhara this morning, a person was confirmed to have contracted coronavirus lately. A 40-year-old male of Devchuli municipality in Nawalparasi (East) who was quarantined in the same place tested positive for the virus, shared director at the directorate Dr Binod Bindu Sharma.

All the services of the health facility at Punarbas municipality-5, Tribhuvanbasti in Kanchanpur district have been closed down following confirmation of coronavirus among health workers since Tuesday.

We have not been able to send them to their homes due to delay in getting the report," said Bir Bahadur Saud, ward chair of Mellekh RM ward 4 from where swabs of 99 people have been collected and sent for testing. Local levels are having difficult time to manage the quarantine for not getting the PCR report in time.

Protesters brought under control using water cannon

Senior Superintendent of Police at the Metropolitan Police Range, Shyamlal Gyawali, said that the demonstrators gathered on street protesting the lockdown at Baluwatar area of Kathmandu were removed using water cannon and those violating the rules were brought under control.    

Star hotels costing up to Rs. 8 thousand a day to be used as quarantine for overseas-returnees

The hotels proposed by the Association are 2 to 4 star hotels. A person will have to pay Rs. 3 to 8 thousand a day for staying in these hotels. However, one may have to pay less than that if she/he stays in the double bed room with a partner and the cost per person may be Rs. 2 to 5 thousand a day, according to secretary Sainju.

20 persons test COVID-19 positive in Karnali
