Butwal, June 9 : Police has taken a person under control on suspicion of his involvement in the murder of five persons last night at Mainahawa village near Kanchhi Bazaar of Tilottama municipality-10 in Rupandehi district.
Police arrested Jhapendra Sinjali who was found near the cow farm, the incident site, said Superintendent of Police Hem Kumar Thapa, the chief of the District Police Office Rupandehi. It is said Sinjali works at the cow farm where the incident took place. The cow farm belongs to one Krishna Bahadur Pun.
Among the victims, one is a woman and the rest are men. They are 40-year-old Madhav Musahar and 37-year-old Janaki Musahar of Sainamaina, and 14-year-old Pokhraj Musahar, 15-year-old Ashish Chaudhary and 16-year-old Karan Chaudhary of Tilottama-9 of Rupandehi district.
Police said the accused killed the five persons hitting them with a hoe. Madhav and Janaki are husband and wife who had been working at the cow farm.
The reason behind the killing of five persons en masse is not yet known. Police has launched investigation into the incident.
