By Janarjan Khatri, Sarlahi, June 8: Sarlahi district saw a record 120 new cases of COVID-19 in a single day today.
With this, COVID-19 tally of the district has reached 369.
According to Chief District Officer, Mohan Bahadur GC, the newly confirmed infected persons are 43 of Brahmapuri Rural Municipality, 34 of Bishnu Rural Municipality, 18 of Ishworpur Municipality, 15 of Chakraghatta Rural Municipality, 9 of Balara Municipality and a person of Ram Nagar Rural Municipality.
All of the infected are the India-returnees and they have been staying in the quarantine spots of the local levels they belong to.
CDO GC said that the newly confirmed COVID-19 patients would be kept in the isolation at the local level itself.
Earlier on Sunday, 74 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19 in the district.
Although two weeks have elapsed by since swabs were sent for test, no report has been provided of the 175 swabs of Malangwa, 160 of Haripurba, 149 of Chandra Nagar, 116 Kaudeni, 50 of Lalbandi and 29 of Hariban.
