India says 3 soldiers killed in standoff with Chinese troops

The Indian army said in a statement that a “violent faceoff” took place in Galwan valley in the Ladakh region on Monday night “with casualties on both sides.” “The loss of lives on the Indian side includes an officer and two soldiers,” the statement said. “Senior military officials of the two sides are currently meeting at the venue to defuse the situation.”

The National Assembly (NA) members protested the alleged rape of a woman in a quarantine facility based in Martyrs Memorial Secondary School in Lamki Chuha of Kailali district and demanded actions against the guilty.

The NPI Narayani Community Hospital's entire staffers have tested negative for the coronavirus.     Last week, a doctor and a patient were tested positive for the virus and this followed the COVID-19 testing on all medical and health workers and employees.

11 months old child defeats COVID-19  

An 11-month-old child suffering from COVID-19 has been discharged from the Mahakali Hospital here after recovery. The child, Sushank Sunar, from Shuklaphanta municipality-11 of Kanchanpur district had been kept in isolation ward of the hospital for 14 days for treatment, Hospital's officiating medical superintendent Dr Hari Kumar Shrestha said.    

Local level calls for a meeting to search COVID-19 patients who were sent home from quarantine

The local government called the meeting as the report of the swab came just today, 11 days after the swabs of those who had tested positive in the RDT were sent on June 4 to Dhangadhi for PCR test. All those who have been confirmed as infected had returned from India on May 22 and were sent home as they completed designated period to stay in the quarantine. Those who tested positive in the RDT were asked to stay in isolation at home.

COVID-19 confirmed in five more persons of Kathmandu

A person of Kathmandu was found infected with the virus in the PCR test conducted at Dhulikhel laboratory while in the test carried out at National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) another person of Kathmandu was detected with the virus. In the test carried out in Patan Hospital laboratory, two persons of Kathmandu and one person of Lalitpur were found to have been infected with the contagion.

Eight health personnel working in quarantines found infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Parsa in two days

Dr. Madan Upadhyaya, chief medical superintendent of the hospital, said that 10 people including a woman were found infected with the virus in Parsa district on Monday. Of them, five health workers were found infected with the virus on Sunday and three on Monday. The health workers got infected while working in the quarantines.

Private labs to carry out PCR test for COVID-19, Govt. to bear the cost

Corona Virus infected dies in Gulmi   

A corona virus infected person has died last night. A resident of ward no. 4 in Dhurkot rural municipality, the 36-year-old man died at the isolation room in Tamghas hospital, according to Dr Kabiraj Bhusal.
