Nine COVID-19 patients in ANFA Academy, Butwal discharged after recovery

Nine patients, eight from Kapilvastu, including ward chair and an eight year old girl and one from Rupandehi were discharged in line the World Health Organisation (WHO) standards after they tested negative for COVID-19, said Shiva Raj Subedi, Mayor of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City.

Five held again after PCR test results positive   

Police have taken under control five persons from Matihani Municipality of Mahottari after their PCR tests resulted positive. They were earlier released from local quarantines.         

10 COVID-19 patients in Dang return home upon recovery   

A total of 10 COVID-19 patients who were undergoing treatment at COVID-19 Special Hospital at Beljhundi in Dang district have returned home after their recovery.

India-returnee dies in quarantine  

A man has died the same day he had returned from India and stayed at a quarantine. A 31-year-old man who arrived on Saturday morning at the Bhimdutta technical education institute quarantine in Patan municipality-6 died the same night, said health assistant at Patan primary health centre, Prem Sagar Bhatta.

A person has died in quarantine set up at Khaptad Chededaha Rural municipality-7. The 65-year-old person staying in quarantine had returned from India two weeks back.    

Landslide obstructs Bhimfedi-Kulekhani road   

The Bhimfedi-Kulekhani road section of the Hetauta-Kathmandu road has been obstructed following a landslide. Landslide that occurred this morning on the road at ward no. 6 of Bhimfedi rural municipality has halted traffic, according to Area Police Office, Bhimfedi police inspector Ram Balak Raya.   

Repair of Kathmandu Valley's roads almost complete amidst lockdown

Out of the target of repairing 41 kilometres in the fiscal year of 2019/20, overlaying of more than 40 kilometres has been carried out, the division road office said adding that repair of remaining parts would be complete soon. Road maintenance has been put on top priority, said the division office chief Kuber Nepali.

Rescue flights to begin from Friday; 150 plus migrants to arrive from UAE

Officials said that more than 150 Nepali migrants would come home on Friday in a chartered flight. For this to happen, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating with the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi.    

1.25 MW solar energy added to national grid  

The national transmission system has received 1.25 megawatt more solar energy from Wednesday. The power generated by Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) in Nuwakot was linked to the national grid, the NEA officials said.
