Falgunanda to operate mother language institute   

Falgunanda rural municipality of Panchthar has decided to establish and operate Falgunanda Language Institute to make mother language education effective and well-managed.     Newly-elected Chairperson of Falgunanda rural municipality, Bir Bahadur Kurumbang took the decision while assuming the office on Wednesday.

Rhino found dead in Narayani river 

A lifeless body of a rhinoceros was found in the Narayani River at Sisuwar of Bharatpur metropolis-26 this morning.          According to Chitwan National Park (CNP), the animal has its external body parts intact.

Achham once again reports Chhaupadi death 

A woman died in course of observing the Chhaupadi (a cultural practice which banishes menstruating and new mothers from home) in Achham, the district in Far West State last night.     The deceased has been identified as Parbati Rawat, 21, of Siddheshwori 21, Sanfebagar municipality-3, police said. 

RJP Nepal elected at Chhinnamasta rural municipality-7  

Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) Nepal has been elected at Ward No 7 of Chhinnamasta rural municipality in the district. Pramila Devi Yadav of the RJP Nepal candidate secured 540 votes and became Ward Chairperson, said Chief Returning Officer, Chandramani Gyawali.

One killed in motorcycle accident

A motorcyclist was killed in an accident here last night.     Police identified the deceased as Manikesh Gautam of Tatopani rural municipality-4, Jumla.    

Two arrested with narcotics

Police arrested two youths along with 2.5 kilogrammes of hashish here on Monday. They were arrested from Dhaulapahira of local Bhume rural municipality in east Rukum.     Those arrested in this connection are 27-year-old Tara Roka of Kyangsi, Bhume rural municipality-3 and 16-year-old Tilak Pun Magar of Ward number 6 of the same rural municipality.
