800,000 doses China aid COVID-19 vaccines arriving Monday

The 800,000 doses of the China aid COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in Nepal by Monday. Chinese ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi tweeted on her Twitter that vaccines have arrived at the Beijing Capital International Airport today and they will be sent to Nepal very soon.

Still some days more for weather to improve  

Thick haze is seen in the Kathmandu Valley as the pollutants' particles have accumulated in the atmosphere due to the forest fires in most of the districts of the country in recent days.

Mental health training imparted to workers of mountaineering sector   

The training was organised at joint coordination of Foreign Employment and Welfare Department, Women and Youth Department and Health Committee under the Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) where 39 workers associated with mountaineering association had participated.

Four houses were destroyed after a bushfire at community forest spread to the human settlement in Bhojpur.    

Two held with fake notes   

Police have arrested two persons along with fake currency notes and a printer to produce the notes. The arrested ones are 35-year-old Gan Bahadur Lopchan, 35, from Rautahat and Maya Tamang, 39, from Makwanpur.

Aspiring to set a Guinness World Records by completing longest distance journey on a wheelchair, Gole, 38, has reached Kanchanpur as part of his journey. He started his journey on a wheelchair 26 days ago from Kakadvitta in Mechi.

The fire that broke out in a community forest of Diktel-Rupakot-Majhuwagadhi municiplaity-15 Bijayakharka ravaged the houses of Tej Binod Dhakal, Hem Sagar Dhakal, Khemraj Dhakal of Baseri and Durga Bahadur Bhujel of Badahar.    

High alerts placed after ‘killer’ tiger escapes from enclosure  

High alerts have been placed after a Bengal tiger which was confined by the Banke national park escaped the boundary.    According to the national park sources, high alert measures have been adopted after the ‘killer’ tiger ran away from the enclosure.

Bushfire at multiple places reported for over a month, bodies concerned remain silent   

With the onset of dry and windy season, forest fires have started taking place in the district.     Locals said that bushfires have been taking place at Chure area, Sagarnath forest development project, Phooljor Baba partnership forest and other community forests of the district for the past few days continuously.  

High alertness adopted at border transit points with surge in Corona virus cases in India

The Armed Police Force (APF) Chhinnamasta Brigade Headquarters, Province no 2 Mahottari stated that high alertness along with stringent checking has been adopted at the transit points. Province no 2 shares 464 kilometres border with India from the Saptari district in the east to Parsa district in the west.

Ghorahi Cement ordered to apply pollution management measures 

The Ghorahi Cement Industry Pvt Ltd has been ordered by the court to implement pollution-control measures immediately. The High Court, Tulsipur in Dang had issued an interim order in the name of industry directing to immediately adopt pollution control and management mechanism.

Girl dies as charging mobile phone explodes  

A 15-year-old girl in Achham district died after her mobile phone exploded while she was watching video by keeping it plugged into charging.     Information Officer of Sudurpaschim Province Police Office, Dipayal, and Senior Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Singh said that Sapana Nath of Mangalsen Municipality-1 died in the incident.
