Chitwan, March 24 : A bird of the new species has been found in Chitwan.
The bird ‘Lamopuchchhare Chanchar’ with long tail was detected on the river side of the Chitwan National Park
Photographer Milang Tamang had taken the snapshot of the bird for the first time.
Chairperson of Bird Association Society Sauraha Chitwan Ramesh Chaudhary shared the information that the ‘Lamopuchchhare Chanchar’ bird which is generally noticed in Rara, Makalu Barun, Langtang national park, Annapurna and Kanchanjunga conservation area was also found in Chitwan Sauraha.
The bird species which is found in an altitude ranging from 1,500 meters to 4,000 meters has never been detected in Chitwan before.
The bird has been reported as a guest species in the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. With this, Chitwan has now become the habitat of 657 different species of birds.
The ‘Lamapuchchhare Chanchar’ species of bird are found in Bhutan, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. Number of tourists come to Chitwan National Park to see the birds. Migratory birds come to Nepal from different countries to avoid the chilling cold.
