Landslides disrupt Parbat-Baglung road section of Mid-Hill Highway   

The Parbat-Baglung road section along the Mid-Hill Highway has remained obstructed for the last three days. Landslides occurred at Kushma municipality-8, Sundarekhola, Chuwabhir and ward no. 2, Nayapul disrupted the road traffic.   

Motorcyclist die in road mishap 

A motorcyclist died in a road accident occurred at Madhyapurthimi municipality-4, Chardobato along the Araniko Highway. Critically injured Bhattarai breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Madhyapur Thimi Hospital.    

Landslide-buried body recovered after 11 hours 

Lifeless body of a man who went missing in the landslide in Rishing rural municipality of Tanahun was recovered after 11 hours. Khum Bahadur Thapa, 40, of Rishing-8, Majhkot went disappeared after being buried in the landslide debris at 5.00 am Thursday.     

Emergency Operations Centre used for ministerial residence

A series of prefab houses, which were supposed to be used for Sudurpaschim’s Provincial Emergency Operations Centres (POC) have been misused to accommodate a newly appointed Minister. Constructed under the direction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law within its own premises, it seems as if the houses were built as residential ministry quarters rather than for the purposes of natural disaster management.

28 gamblers held with Rs 1.4 million, bank cheques

82,924 people receive second dose of Vero Cell on Tuesday

According to Dr Jhalak Sharma Gautam, chief of the National Immunisation Programme, 82,924 people were vaccinated with the second dose of Vero Cell yesterday in the vaccination campaign in 41 districts. “32,000 people have been vaccinated in the Kathmandu Valley, however, full details are yet to come,” said Dr. Gautam.
