Nawalpur, July 8 : The Narayangadh-Butwal road section along the East-West Highway has been obstructed following incessant rain.
According to Spokesperson of District Police Office DSP Dilip Kumar Giri, the highway was disrupted after the flood took away a Hum Pipe of the road section near Kawaswoti Thanachowk in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Sustapurba).
However, efforts are underway to resume traffic operations along the highway that has been obstructed since this morning, he informed.
DSP Giri said that a diversion will be constructed soon to operate light vehicles on the road in the first phase. Heavy vehicles will be put on hold for some hours till the problem is fixed.
A long queue of vehicles is seen on the road along the East-West Highway, he shared.
