Two journalists in the district are obliged to stay in the quarantines of their media houses as the concerned local governments paid no heed for long even after they tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Nine individuals are infected with the virus in the district.

SC orders to enlist veterinary service under essential services

Both the private and government veterinary services in the country are closed during the lockdown since this service is not listed as "essential services". The Karnali Academy of Health Science (KAHS) has started providing the outpatient specialist service by phone to reduce crowding at its hospital. This service has been initiated to facilitate the treatment service with the growing risk of coronavirus infection.

Sudurpaschim State Assembly to convene on May 26  

The Sudurpaschim State will convene its sixth session which is the budget session from May 26.     Speaker of the Assembly Arjun Bahadur Thapa said the budget session would be held adopting necessary health safety standard. The session will hold pre-budget discussions as well as deliberate on the principles and priorities of the budget and the policy and programme of the State government.    

Rapti Academy of Health Sciences resumes services  

The entire health care services of Rapti Academy of Health Sciences based in Dang have resumed today.     The Academy that had closed its services from Wednesday after the directives of the Ministry of Health and Population has restarted its health care services after protests from different walks of life.   

Suspected people's swab to be collected from quarantine

Swab would be collected from the people suspected of coronavirus infection at quarantine. Similarly, concerned hospital itself would collect swab of the suspected patients of COVID-19 at the hospital and send to laboratory for test.

Woman kills father

A woman has killed her father in Ilam district last night. Twenty five -year-old Sushma Rai of Shantidanda, Deumai municipality-3 killed her father 52-year-old Phul Bahadur Rai, the Area Police Office, Mangalbare said.
