Surkhet, May 20 : The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Nepal's mid and far west office has provided safety materials and test kits to the Karnali government.
UNICEF Office chief Dipak Shrestha informed that they donated the health and safety materials especially for the civil servants devoted to citizen's safety in the crisis. Similarly, health kits would be used for screening at Babai and Chhinchu border points of Karnali State.
In addition to the health test kits and safety materials, even the goods for accommodation as tents, tarpaulins, blankets, mosquito nets, water jars, buckets, plastic foam to suffice for 100 persons are provided to the Karnali government.
Information Officer at Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Krishna Bahadur Rokaya, informed that the government received the health and safety materials from the UNICEF with the facilitation of Sundar Nepal. The materials will be useful for the people working for prevention and control of the coronavirus in Karnali State.
Similarly, executive director at Sundar Nepal, Bhupendra Kandel, also hoped the materials provided to the Karnali government would be useful at a time the government is struggling to cope up with the crisis.
Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Naresh Bhandari, thanked the UNICEF for such generous support in this crisis.
