60 persons return home from isolation centers getting over COVID-19 in Banke today

According to Banke District Health Office, 60 persons including a woman aged 60 who were staying and getting treatment in different isolation centers in the district were discharged after recovering from the virus infection.

31-year-old succumbs to COVID-19 in Nawalparasi (East)

A 31-year-old male of Devchuli Municipality succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in Nawalparasi (East) on Thursday night. He died at 12:18 am on Thursday night while receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur.

Students fearful of going to schools that were once quarantine

The Ministry of Health and Population on Thursday confirmed four new COVID-19 related deaths. With this, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has reached 383 and the death rate stands at 0.64 per cent.

Myagdi records more cases of dengue, scrub typhus

Cases of dengue and scrub typhus are increasing across the districts of Gandaki State with the highest number of cases in Myagdi district. According to the Gandaki State Health Directorate, there are 105 dengue patients and 54 scrub typhus patients in the state. Out of them,  64 dengue and 43 scrub typhus cases are in Myagdi alone.

As many as 44 COIVD-19 patients in Banke were discharged on Thursday after recovering from the virus infection.

Seven settlements in high risk of landslides in Parbat  

A total of seven settlements in Phalewas Municipality in the district are in high risk of landslides. Local authority has recommended to shifting the settlements to safer zone after geographical assessment.

Recurrent landslides have caused uncertainties in the two way traffic operation along the Narayangarh-Muglin road section. The road section has been disrupted again due to persistent landslides at Charkilo in Ichhakamana rural municipality.    

Police steps up social media surveillance, saves 13 persons from committing suicide

Kuber Kathayat, spokesperson of the police, said that they saved 13 people from committing suicide in five months period of lockdown. With the recent increase in the number of suicides being announced live on social media, the cybercrime control team of the police has been very active.

Nepal's COVID-19 death toll hits 379 with eight fatalities today

Four males, one each from Sunsari, Saptari, Kavrepalanchowk and Kaski districts, aged 70, 35, 41 and 70 respectively succumbed to the deadly virus infection in the past 24 hours. Likewise, of four females who died in the past 24 hours due to COVID-19, one aged 46 was from Bara, the other aged 55 was from Kavreplanchowk while remaining two aged 71 and 74 were from Kathmandu.

Traffic has been resumed on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section after clearing the landslide debris on the road. Mudslide had occurred at Charkilo and Paanchkilo of the road section this morning.

COVID-19 infected man dies in Saptari 

A COVID-19 infected man died in the district today. The 35-year-old of Khadak municipality-3 died at Dharan-based B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), said acting office chief at the health office Duniya Lal Yadav.

Raped adolescent girl commits suicide after justice denied
