110 persons recover from COVID-19 in Karnali

As many as 110 persons have returned home after recovery from the COVID-19 in Karnali State. With this, the number of people recovered from COVID-19 in the State stands at 2,505.

A total of 243 Nepalis working and living in different countries around the world have died of Corona Virus. Last week alone, 43 Nepalis died of the deadly virus, according to Non-Resident Nepalis Association.

A person has died of COVID-19 in Rupandehi. A 40-year-old man of Somsatiya rural municipality-4 died at the Corona Special Hospital in Butwal.    

One among three dead confirmed Corona positive   

One of the three persons who died at Bharatpur hospital has been confirmed positive to Corona Virus. The 46-year-old man from ward no. 2 of Ratnanagar municipality tested positive to the virus.

The World Hindu Federation has expressed concern over the closure of the temple, shrines and other religious sites for the past six months. It has demanded that the sites be opened by maintaining social distancing.

Five more succumb to COVID-19, death toll reaches 322

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday confirmed five COVID-19 related deaths. Five persons, four males and a female, succumbed to the virus infection in the last 24 hours, read the daily update revealed by the ministry on Friday.Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 322 and the death rate is at 0.62 per cent.  

59 jailbirds of Siraha prison test COVID-19 positive

According to prison head, Babita Mahato, the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test of the swabs of 100 inmates was conducted after some inmates showed symptoms of mild cough and cold. Of the 100 swab samples, 59 reported COVID-19 positive, she said.
