6.0 magnitude aftershock hits Sindhupalchowk   

An aftershock measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale with its epicentre around Ramche in Sindhupalchowk was recorded. The National Seismological Centre said that the aftershock occurred at 5.19 this morning.  

Nepal's COVID-19 death toll hits 371 with 11 fatalities

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Tuesday confirmed 11 COVID-19 related deaths. A 64-year-old male of Sarlahi, a 35-year-old female of Suraha, a male and a female both aged 55 of Bara, an 86-year-old female and three males aged 34, 96 and 66 of Kathmandu, a 61-year-old male of -Makwanpur, a 64-year-old female of Rupandehi and a 58-year-old male of Kapilvastu, who were infected with the novel coronavirus, died while receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation.

India gifts 2000 sets of Remdesivir to Nepal

India has gifted over 2,000 sets of Remdesivir to Nepal. Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra handed over the medicine to Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali this afternoon.

     47 more individuals test positive for coronavirus in Gandaki state 

With this, the number of coronavirus infected people has reached 3,112 in the state, according to Director at Provincial Health Directorate and Spokesperson of Gandaki State Corona Control and Prevention Programme, Dr Binod Bindu Sharma.

  Beni-Jomsom road obstructed 

The Beni-Jomsom road that connects the trans-Himalayan district Mustang to the national road network has been obstructed after flood and landslide swept away sections of the road. About 200 metres of the road has been swept away by the flood in the local Rupse Khola rivulet at Annapurna rural municipality-3 of the district.

A woman receiving treatment for coronavirus infection in an ICU bed of Narayani Hospital in Birgunj died today. The 55-year-old woman is originally from Dumarwana in Bara.

50 percent coronavirus cases transmitted through hospitals in Chitwan, study says   

The coronavirus infection has been transmitted through the hospitals in Chitwan, a study reveals. According to a study undertaken by the District COVID Crisis Management Centre, almost 50 percent of the infections diagnosed so far have been transmitted through the hospitals.
