Chitwan, Sept 12 : Twenty-six police persons at Ward Police Office, Narayangadh, have contracted coronavirus. The result of the samples tested at COVID-19 laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital came on Friday and this morning.
Spokesperson at District Police Office, Surya Bahadur Thapa, informed that with the latest update, the number of police persons contracting virus has reached 39 in the district. Among them, five persons returned to duty after recovery and the remaining ones were receiving treatment at isolation.
There are 41 police persons currently deputed at Ward Office though the quota is for 95 persons. With the coronavirus spread, the Ward Office is now sealed off. As the result of other sample tests was awaited, the number of infected ones could rise, according to Thapa.
