Tribhuvan highway opens for traffic 

The Tribhuvan highway that remained obstructed due to landslide has opened for traffic since Friday evening. The road opened for traffic after the debris of the landslide was cleared by the Department of Roads, according to Police Inspector Bikas Raj Tamang.   

One arrested for fleecing migrant workers 

Police have arrested a person on the charge of fleecing people heading towards India for work. Nine persons who had arrived at the Trinagar customs point were charged money illegally by the person.  

NCP Chair Prachanda expresses sorrow over human loss in landslides in different parts of country

Karnali State government restricts night entry of people

A meeting of the Province Crisis management Centre (PCMC) on Thursday decided to restrict the entry of people coming from foreign countries as well as other parts of the country into the state at night time. It also decided that those entering the state during the day time should also produce their PCR test report from three days before.

Bharatpur metropolis into weeklong lockdown

An emergency meeting of the disaster management committee chaired by the metropolis Mayor Renu Dahal took a decision in this regard in view of increasing cases, said Mayor Dahal. During the lockdown period, vehicles except for the ones operated for essential services are barred.

   Lidi landslide: Four injured rescued to Kathmandu on helicopter   

During the first phase of rescue, four people who suffered serious injuries in the landslide occurred this morning at Lidi of Jugal rural municipality-2 have been taken to Kathmandu on a helicopter.     According to rural municipality chair Hom Narayan Shrestha, a team comprising Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota was already in the landslide-hit area for rescue efforts. Two trucks catch fire   

Two trucks parked inside the industrial zone in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati State, have caught fire today. Police said the trucks kept in front of the Vyalit Palette Feed Industry caught fire. The trucks with registration number plate Na 5 Pa 6503 and Na 6 Kha 7826 caught fire, it is learnt.
