Sudurpaschim University has resumed classes physically from today after following health safety protocol amid ongoing Covid-19 risks. The University had been running online classes due to the infection risks.

Fire that broke out in Solti City Apartment brought under control

Apil Bohora, Deputy Superintendent of Police at Metropolitan Police Circle Kalimati, informed that a fire had broken out on the 13th floor of the apartment due to the short circuit of an electrical wire.

Four houses burnt down in Saptari fire   

Four houses were reduced to cinders in a fire at Sakardahi village in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality in the district today morning, gutting properties worth approximately Rs 2 million, said the police. The blaze caught an animal shed of local resident Jagan Sutihar before extinguishing houses in the neighbourhood.

An adolescent girl dies of HIV infection  

An adolescent girl died of HIV-AIDS in Rajbiraj of Saptari on Sunday evening. Amaiya Dhami, 16, of Rajbiraj municipality-1, Chanaura died while undergoing treatment at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, informed medical superintendant of the hospital, Dr Ranjeet Jha.
