Nuwakot, Jan 18 : Nuwakot Police have arrested seven persons involved in the smuggling of 23 rounded timbers of sal and fadir from Belkotgadhi municipality-5, Duipipal, Kolputar of Nuwakot.
A police squad busted seven persons along with the rounded logs as well as a vehicle used for smuggling on Monday evening.
According to the District Police Office Nuwakot Chief Tul Bahadur Karki, a police team deputed from temporary police post Kohalpur took the smugglers under control and handed them to the district Police Office Nuwakot.
The Division Forest Office Nuwakot said that they have initiated a process to take action against the smugglers in accordance with the Forest Act.
