  More than 800 women and children have gone missing in three years in Banke district.    

Rhino horn found   

A Rhino horn was found inside the Chitwan National Park. The horn of an adult Rhino was found in Meghauli of the park, according to Chief Protection Office Ananath Baral.    

Man on the run after murdering wife found dead   

A man who had escaped after murdering his wife was found dead. Dhan Kumar Ubharkoti,32, a resident of Subhang in Hilihang-5 of the district was found hanging from a tree in the jungle some three kilometers east of his house.    

One killed, seven injured in road accident   

One person has died and seven others were injured in a road accident that took place in Nishikhola rural municipality of the district.

19 rhinos die in seven months

Of the total dead rhinos, four were related to poaching, one baby rhino was killed by a tiger, one died after falling from a cliff while 13 others met natural deaths, said Haribhadra Acharya, information officer of Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation (DNPWC).  

Flood victim families still living in tents  

The flood-affected families in the southern part of Humla district have been living in tents for the last six months. The 24 families belonging to the Dalit community at Uttiseni, Tanjakot Rural Municipality-4, are braving the winter under makeshift tents made from tarpaulin sheets.
