The forest fire of Pathivara area in Taplejung has entered the Kanchanjungha Conservation Area (KCA). The fire is continuous for more than five days.

The Manab Sewa Ashram, which is running a campaign to make roads free of street people, has rescued and taken them for providing basic needs and treatment. The Manab Sewa Ashram, under the coordination of local journalist and human rights activist Manohar Kumar Pokharel, has rescued 36 people by cleaning and feeding them in the Rajbiraj Municipality premises after completing the needed legal process.

Gandaki province floats 60 plans for tourism expansion 

Gandaki province government has brought into implementation some 60 plans in the district for the fiscal year 2077/78 BS. It may be noted that only seven plans were chosen for tourism promotion in the district last year.     Out of Rs 52.4 million appropriated for the implementation of seven plans in the fiscal year 2076/77 BS, only Rs 24.4 million was spent due to the effects of coronavirus transmission.  

Crusher and sand processing industries found operated against criteria

Most of the crusher and sand processing industries being operated in Makawanpur district under the Bagmati Province have been found against the stipulated criteria and standards.      According to the District Administration Office, most of the industries have breached the government-stipulated standards in operation.
