Power from Upper Tamakoshi can now be sent to Kathmandu

Charging of the 220/132 KV transformer at the New Khimti Substation in Phulasi of Ramechhap district completed Thursday evening. With this, the electricity generated by the Upper Tamakoshi Hydroelectricity Project (UTHP) located at Bigu Rural Municipality of Dolakha district can be directly sent to the Kathmandu Valley. According to Purna Gopal Ranjit, Assistant Manager of the project, the transformer was charged with Gas Insulated Substation (GIS).

The task force meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister on Thursday prepared the draft of the CMP and the work procedure, which would be handed to the top leaders of the parties soon.
