Whether the elections would take place in the scheduled time period (30 April and 10 May) depends on how soon the court delivers a verdict on the subject, he said. "The government is ready to organise the elections within the stipulated timeframe. The Election Commission and all security agencies are prepared for this. We are waiting for a court verdict," he said at a press conference organised here by the Press Organisation Nepal, Kalikot.

Capital spending only 14.4% in first half of current FY

Government has spent Rs. 415.75 billion or 28.19 per cent of the total budget, in the first half of the current fiscal year, Finance Ministry informed. According to the ministry, in the first six months of the current FY 2020/21, capital expenditure stood at Rs. 50.82 billion (14.4 per cent) while recurrent expenditure amounted to Rs. 342.36 billion (36.08 per cent). Similarly, financial management stood at Rs. 22.57 billion (13.06 per cent).

Grade 12 results by Friday

The National Examination Board (NEB), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, has said that the results of Grade XII were likely to publish this week. The NEB said that it was now verifying the grade sheets of the students and it would publish the results after completing the verification work. Govt gears up to establish fertiliser plant
