Govt to bring single-window system on foreign trade

The government is to introduce ‘Nepal National Single Window System’ to facilitate international trade by linking import and export with customs from next week. In a programme organised at the Ministry of Finance, Department of Customs informed that a single-window system will be introduced in the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control, Department of Animal Services and Plant Quarantine Centre from next week.

Oli asks cadres to form party committees

Nepal soon to receive COVID-19 vaccines from India

Nepal will soon be receiving COVID-19 vaccines, produced by Bharat Biotech, from the Indian Government as an aid. “The detail of vaccine that is to be provided to Nepal by the government of India is going to be revealed within a few days. After that, the vaccines of the first phase will be sent to Nepal,” informed Nilamber Acharya, ambassador of Nepal to India.

COVID-19 recovery rate reaches 97.9 %

Nepal’s COVID-19 recovery tally rose to 262,259 on Tuesday with 441 patients recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours. The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed 348 new infections and four new COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours. The national recovery rate now stands at 97.9 per cent, according to MoHP. With today’s new cases, the national COVID-19 caseload has reached 267,992, according to the latest MoHP tally.
