Vaccination to all in 3 months: PM

Vaccination drive against COVID-19 kicked off across the country from Wednesday. Inaugurating the vaccination drive, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli committed to roll out the COVID-19 vaccines to all Nepalis free of cost within three months. He said, “No one will be deprived of vaccination. It will be administered free of cost. Necessary budget to purchase the essential vaccines has already been arranged.” He said that the immunisation drive was expected to complete within three months.

‘We are lucky for getting vaccinated’

Usha Adhikari of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-12, in Kailali district is a health volunteer. Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, she was exposed to the risk of virus infection. Adhikari, who had been serving people round-the-clock amid the pandemic is now delighted to be receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

He also termed the ongoing dispute in the party as 'fake' and said he was leading the party officially. Oli has claimed that those protesting in the streets would be washed away by the upcoming elections. "The defection of a few will not have any obstruction on the communist movement, stability, and prosperity," he said.

283 new cases of COVID-19, 246 recoveries in last 24 hours

"In 4,382 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 283 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2," informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in the regular press briefing.
