Chitwan, Jan 25 : Prime Minster and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chair KP Sharma Oli is set to lay the foundation stone for the construction of two development projects in Chitwan on coming January 30. In addition, the prime minister is also scheduled to address a public gathering to be hosted on the same day.
In a press conference organized here on Sunday, the NCP Chitwan has informed about the PM's scheduled programme to lay the foundation stone for the construction of a city hall in Bharatpur and inaugurate the expansion of a six-lane road.
On the occasion, NCP central member and district party coordinator Parbati Rawal said the Prime Minister is all set to lay the foundation stone for the city hall and also inaugurate the expansion of Pulchowk-Gondrang six-lane road along the East-West Highway.
Both the construction works are to be carried out in coordination with the line ministries, she shared.
Rawal, also the chairperson of National Assembly (NA)'s National Concern and Coordination Committee, informed that a public gathering will be organized in Bharatpur after the completion of these programmes.
Prime Minister Oli along with Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Basanta Kuamr Nembang and Minister for Urban Development Prabhu Sah, among others are scheduled to address the public gathering to be held in Bharatpur on the same day.
The construction of a well-appointed city hall with the capacity of 2,000 people is under construction in four bigha and found kattha land at Bharatpur metropolis-10, Bypass Road. It will also have a conference hall with the capacity of 300 people, shared chief of Intensive Urban and Building Construction Project Bharatpur, Prakash Aryal.
Likewise, the contract for a six-lane road from Pulchowk of Narayangarh to Gondryang has been signed in a way to complete the expansion in two years and four months. The six-lane road expansion is to be completed at the estimated cost of one billion and 120 million rupees.
