The country's weather would remain partial to general cloudy today due to impact of westerly and local wind, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division.    

Rain, hailstone damage property worth million rupees 

Rain and hailstone occured on Monday night have damaged property worth million rupees in Parbat and Baglung districts.     A heavy rain and hailstone took place at Jaljala and Modi rural municipalities of Parbat and Tarakhola rural municiality of Baglung district and damaged different crops, according to the Agriculture Knowledge Centre, Parbat.    

Minister Magar provides 100 quintal rice support 

Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation, Bina Magar, has provided 100 quintals rice to four local levels in Kanchanpur district.

The government of South Korea has decided to extend the visa term of Nepali workers employed here on employment promotion system (EPS) by 50 days.  

COVID-19 claims life of yet another ex-Gurkha soldier 

COVID-19 has claimed the lives of one Nepali almost daily this week. A former British Gurkha soldier has died again on Monday. He is 65-year-old Laxin Bahadur Gurung who lived in Redding outside London city. He passed away at 7am on Monday while under treatment at a hospital in Redding, said Kamal Gurung, a Nepali social worker here.    

670 people test negative for coronavirus in State-1  

Six hundred and seventy people have tested negative for coronavirus in State-1 as of Monday. Of the 233 throat swab samples collected from as many suspected coronavirus cases, 213 samples tested negative as per the PCR test. More, 357 throat swab samples have tested negative under rapid diagnostic test (RDT).    

Relief and economy promotion package study committee formed

The Ganeshman Singh Study Foundation has constituted a study committee to suggest on relief and economy promotion package declaration and distribution in the context of the economic impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.

1,227,000 kg rice distributed in Morang since lockdown
