Parbat, April 14 : Rain and hailstone occured on Monday night have damaged property worth million rupees in Parbat and Baglung districts.
A heavy rain and hailstone took place at Jaljala and Modi rural municipalities of Parbat and Tarakhola rural municiality of Baglung district and damaged different crops, according to the Agriculture Knowledge Centre, Parbat.
The rainfall and hailstone damaged maize, wheat crops, fruits and vegetable, said Centre’s Chief Basudev Regmi. The rain and hailstone made huge damage at Deupur of Parbat district which is pocket area for orange farming.
Similarly, potato crop was also damaged at Jaljala of Parbat and Tarakhola of Baglung. Both rural municipalities are pocket areas for potato cultivation.
