183 return home from Quarantine  

The people who were quarantined at the local Khula Manch and tested negative in the Rapid Diagnostic Test for Corona Virus have been sent home. Their test was done after they completed the 19 days at the quarantine.   

Ex-Gurkha army man dies of Corona Virus

An ex-Gurkha army man has died of Corona Virus in the United Kingdom on Saturday.     Originally from Waling in Syangja district of Nepal, 86-year-old Yam Bahadur Malla died during treatment at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, Wiltshire, England.    

   APF patrolling the border  

The Armed Police Force (APF) has set up additional border out-post (BOP) to bring the border with India to a complete closure for human mobility, in an effort to stem the spread of Corona Virus. The APF units have been established at 55 different locations of the border in Saptari district, the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 6 Battalion has said. 

503 test negative in Baglung  

A rapid diagnostic test (RDT) carried out in 503 people suspected of carrying the Corona Virus has shown negative. RDT began in Balgung from Thursday, after the district was put under the red zone.    

Lockdown will not end soon: PM Oli

According to PM’s press advisor Surya Thapa, the PM said that the ongoing lockdown order will not end anytime soon and mobility along the border will be further restricted adding that negligence in the guise of sentimentalism was not acceptable.

Twenty six Indian labourers who were constructing Dadeldhura district hospital are now staying in Bhimduttanagar- based quarantine. They were heading home after the shutdown of activities owing to the threat of deadly COVID-19 outbreak but got stranded midway.    

Dhaulagiri Hospital gets three ventilators   

Dhaulagiri Hospital Baglung has finally received three ventilators necessary for the treatment of people infected with coronavirus. The Ministry of Health and Population had sent the medical equipment.
