Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's foreign affairs advisor Dr Rajan Bhattarai has undergone primary angioplasty in a coronary artery today.    

Teku Hospital says COVID-19 patients likely to get discharged within a few days   

The Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Control Hospital is planning to discharge COVID-19 patients in few days. As Hospital Director Dr Sagar Rajbhandari said, two patients would be getting discharge within the next few days and health condition of the infected is normal now. 

27 released from Morang jail   

The District Prison in Morang has recently released 27 detainees and inmates including a woman as per the March 25 decision bearing in mind the COVID-19 crisis. They were serving jail term on polygamy, road casualties, drugs abuse, smuggling of forest products, rape and forgery of government seals. They had only one year left for imprisonment.    

  Democratic lawyers urge for unity among all to cope up crisis

Issuing a press statement today, Association's general secretary Laxmi Devi Dahal said cooperation from the people belonging to different sectors is imperative at this hour of need.

Construction works have halted at the Gautam Buddha International Airport here due to the shortage of the river-based construction materials. The airport is being expanded into an international airport and it is a national pride project.

Illegal mining and smuggling of sand, stone and pebble has been found thriving on the bank of the Banganga river here taking advantage of the lockdown. 

Three held on charge of drug trafficking using ambulance

Police have arrested three people here for trafficking in banned drugs by using ambulance.     They were arrested from near Junhall at Bharatpur Metropolitan City-2. They had come by booking an ambulance from Nawalparasi.

State-5 Coronavirus Prevention Fund has over Rs 110 million   

The State-5 government has deposited Rs 100 million in the Coronavirus Prevention, Control and Treatment Fund it has set up. With this, the amount in the Fund now has reached to Rs 117 million 584 thousand so far.   

  101 kilometres border with India sealed off in Kailali   

The Armed Police Force (APF) Kailali has completely sealed off the 101 kilometres stretch area bordering India in Kailali district. This measure has been taken to stop the movement of people across the border for the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic.     APF Nepal's the No 34 Battalion Commander, Kamal Timilsina, said the border with India has been completely sealed off in view of people entering Nepal from India through the porous border during the lockdown.    

10 thousand litres of sanitizer provided to govt

After receiving the stuff, Minister Dhakal shared that 3,000 litres would be utilized by the federal government while remaining would be distributed to the seven States- one thousand litre to each one.
