Children to get 'Rotarix' vaccine against diarrhea   

The government is placing vaccination drive to protect children from diarrhea for the first time.     The Family Welfare Division under the Health Service Department is set to administer 'Rotarix' vaccine to children below five to protect from rotavirus diseases.

Lightning kills two women, one injured  

Two women died here after they were hit by lightning coupled with incessant rainfall today.     The dead are Samjhana Ghising, 17, and Bina Ghising, 25, from Makwanpur Bakaiya Rural Municipality-2, police said. Samjhana died on the spot while Bina breathed her last while receiving treatment at Dovan Health Post, according to District Police Office, Makwanpur.    

Lightning claims four in Saptari  

Four persons were killed in lightning occurred at two different places of Saptari district this morning.     Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Tilak Bharati, informed that Chhedi Thakur, 60, and Bechan Yadav, 27, of Mahadewa Rural Municipality-2 died when the lightning struck them near Koshi Bridge. Both of them were heading to Saptakoshi River to take bath.

Two persons dead on road accident  

Two persons died in a road accident occurred last night at Kalyanpur in Saptari along the East-West Highway, according to the police. The deceased are 30-year-old motorcyclist Birendra Das and his mother Sudhanidevi, 50, of Khadak Municipality-5 in the district.
