Saptari, June 25 : Four persons were killed in lightning occurred at two different places of Saptari district this morning.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Tilak Bharati, informed that Chhedi Thakur, 60, and Bechan Yadav, 27, of Mahadewa Rural Municipality-2 died when the lightning struck them near Koshi Bridge. Both of them were heading to Saptakoshi River to take bath.
Similarly, Lalitadevi Yadav, 30, of Dakneshwori Municipality-9 and KC Shah, 45, of Rajgadh Rural Municipality died when the lightning hit them. The incident took place while they were planting paddy saplings, shared Bharati.
Moreover, an 18-year-old Asha Mandal of Rajgadh Rural Municipality was injured in the lightning. She has been sent at Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital for treatment, added police.
