Chartered rescue flights intensified to bring Nepalese back home

Rescue flights are being conducted in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). The national flag-carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and private airlines are making chartered flights from different countries to Nepal. Nepalese migrant workers who were desperately waiting to return back home owing a threat of COVID-19 outbreak are being rescued via chartered flights.    

  NCP standing committee meeting on Wednesday  

The standing committee (SC) meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is scheduled at 11:00 am on Wednesday. According to party office secretary Ishwari Rijal, the meeting is taking place at the Official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar in the capital.    

Three arrested with tiger hide in Bajura 

Police here have arrested three persons with tiger hide from Panthara, Triveni Municipality-6 in the district.     According to district police office spokesperson Dan Bahadur Rokaya, the arrested were carrying the tiger hide, bones and other wild animals' skin.    

   Jin Air will be making Incheon-Kathmandu chartered flight on June 30  

 The South Korea-based Jin Air will be making its first flight to Kathmandu. It is scheduled to make a up-down chartered flight on the Incheon-Kathmandu route on coming June 30.    

Chief Minister Poudel monitors projects in east Makawanpur  

Chief Minister of Bagmati State government, Dormani Poudel, has carried out a monitoring of some important projects in east Makawanpur. The Chief Minister visited the Bagmati rural municipality on Monday and acquired information regarding overall development and construction activities going on in the area.    

Traffic on Prithvi Highway blocked  

The dry landslide occurred at Mugling-Anbukhaireni section of Prithvi Highway has blocked the vehicular movement since last night.         

Corruption case against police inspector, forest consumers' chair  

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Sudurpaschim Office has filed a corruption case against police inspector Nrip Bahadur Bohara and chairperson of Kedar Community Forest in the district, Chakra Bahadur Saud. They have been demanded Rs 61,020 in recovery for corruption.

Senior citizen dies in road accident 

A senior citizen has died in a road accident occurred here on Monday evening. An Indian gas bullet hit the 73-yer-old pedestrian at Sunachari of Makwanpur.    

HAN Pokhara chapter demands exemption of electricity tariff 

The Western Regional Hotel Association Nepal has urged the government to exempt demand tariff of the electricity in the wake of the closure of hotels owing to COVID-19 lockdown. The Association reminded the government that the hotel sector received severe dent due to the spread of coronavirus.
