All museums in Kathmandu Valley to be closed due to COVID-19 risk from Saturday   

The meeting of chief district officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur on Thursday decided to shut down all the museums in the Kathmandu Valley from Saturday in view of growing risk of COVID-19.    

Blocked Narayanghat-Muglin road section opened for traffic  

The Narayanghat-Muglin road section which was obstructed due to a dry landslide has come into operation since 11 am today. The road section had been blocked due to the deposition of landslide debris at Kalikhola of Icchyakamana Rural Municipality-6 at 2.30 am today.    

COVID Special Hospital brought into operation in Janakpur 

Keeping in view of rising cases of corona virus infection, the Madhes Institute of Health Sciences has resumed its Corona Special Hospital.  The hospital with 100 beds has managed 20 ventilators and 20 ICU beds, Vice Chancellor of Institute Prof Dr Ram Kewal Sah said.   

KMC warns private schools of actions for running physical classes in time of pandemic 

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has warned of actions to some private schools for running physical classes by violating the government’s order to stop conducting classes in persons in the time of the pandemic.    

People in Upper Dolpa deprived of COVID-19 vaccines 

People in three rural municipalities in Upper Dolpa have been deprived of Covid-19 vaccines though the District Health Service Office has been running the vaccination drive in the lower belts of the district to the students from 12 to 17 years. Similarly, people above 17 years are given Vero Cell vaccine while senior citizens above 60 years are given the booster dose.    

Dry landslide disrupts two-way traffic along Narayanghat-Muglin road 

The Narayanghat-Muglin road stretch has witnessed traffic disruptions due to a dry landslide that took place at Kalikhola in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-6 at 2.30 this morning. ;    

Bird counting begins in Changunarayan forest   

Counting of birds has been started in the Changunarayan forest, where a huge number of species of birds are supposed to have stayed.

The infection cases were preliminary information, said the FNJ provincial chair Bal Krishna Adhikari, adding that details about infected journalists from some FNJ branches and media houses were coming in.
