Government preparing to adjust price of milk

The government is preparing to make adjustments in the price of milk. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development had formed a committee to carry out a study to that connection after the Central Dairy Cooperative Association Limited Nepal requested for increasing the price of milk reasoning that they were not getting even the cost of investment of the milk by selling milk at its present price.

Air services affected due to bad weather

Air Service of the country has been generally affected due to bad weather. Flights to and from some airports have been affected due to thick fog and haze from early morning following the impact of westerly wind.  

PM Deuba asks to monitor whether or not health safety protocols adopted in examinations 

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has directed the bodies concerned to carry out monitoring whether or not social distancing has been maintained in ongoing examinations conducted by Tribhuvan University as well as there is a sufficient amount of sanitiser in examination halls.

All the services except emergency and maternity have been closed at Madhyabindu District Hospital of (Bardaghat Susta East) in Nawalparasi district.     All the services except emergency and maternity have been closed for five days after doctors and staffs of the District Hospital tested positive for coronavirus, said Information officer of the Hospital, Chhabi Lal Subedi.    

Westerly wind likely to cause rain, snowfall   

The westerly wind is likely to cause general changes in weather systems across the country for three days and also bring light rainfall in some mountainous areas and snowfall in the high hills and Himalayan region.  

FNJ Valley Province calls for full implementation of WJA

PM employment programme: workers’ daily wage goes up, insurance compulsory  

The government has increased the wage of workers involved in the schemes under the Prime Minster Employment Programme (PMEP). Workers’ perks and benefits have upped and their accidental insurance became mandatory with the cabinet meeting held on the first week of January amending the PMEP Operational Guideline-2075 BS.
