Two persons died on the spot when a trailer truck carrying a crane touched an electric wire at Solududhkunda Municipality-8 this morning.

A woman who was suffering profuse bleeding after delivering a child was airlifted to Kathmandu by a Nepal Army helicopter.   

Tamu Society UK provides Rs 1.125 million in aid of COVID-19 patients  

The Tamu Society UK has provided Rs 1.125 million in support of the COVID-19 affected people in Nepal. The philanthropic organisation supported the National Innovation Centre set up by Mahabir Pun. It provided Rs 525 thousand to the Centre.  

Absconding rhino poacher arrested   

The Chitwan National Park (CNP) has arrested a person involved in rhino poaching and smuggling wildlife parts. CNP's Wildlife Poaching Control Unit held Khadka Bahadur Gurung alias Soma and Min Bahadur Gurung from Gaindakot.    

Five tippers carrying illegally mined aggregates impounded  

Police have impounded five tippers from Golbazaar municipality-9 of Siraha district for carrying illegally extracted sand, pebbles and gravel.

Storm damages houses, crops in Shuklagandaki 

A storm occurred here on Monday evening caused damages to around a dozen of houses near the Dhorbarahi temple of Shuklagandaki-9 in the district. The local residents are in the distress after the storm blew away the roofs of houses.

Swamp deer not in sight for months in CNP

Bahrasinghe (swap deer) which was kept at the open cage in the Chitwan National Park (CNP) is not visible for the past eight months. According to CNP Information Officer Lokendra Adhikari, the animal vanished from the sight along with wild buffalo.
