Sankhuwasabha, June 11 : A woman who was suffering profuse bleeding after delivering a child was airlifted to Kathmandu by a Nepal Army helicopter.
Muna Bishwakarma, 26, of Silichong Rural Municipality-4 of Sankhuwasabha was rescued by a helicopter on Thursday morning under the President Women's Upliftment Program, according to Chief District Officer Tek Narayan Poudel.
She was first taken to the District Hospital, Sankhuwasabha and then referred to the Thapathali-based Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital (Prashuti Griha) in Kathmandu, said District Coordination Committee Chief and Hospital Management Committee Chair Suman Shakya.
