Makawanpur, June 6 : The Lakshya Rural Municipality in Makawanpur district has distributed food items to the economically disadvantaged families in rural areas.
A total of 700 such families losing employment opportunities during the ongoing prohibitory order due to Covid-19 risks in ward no 7 and 9 in the Rural Municipality received the in-kind support, informed Lakshya Rural Municipality Chairperson Raj Kumar Malla.
The food supplies include 25-kg of rice, 2-litre of oil, 2-kg of lentil and 2 packets of salt for each households, informed Malla, adding that those food supplies were arranged in coordination of the Nepali Congress (NC) district executive committee and Makawanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
NC Bagmati Province parliamentary party leader Indra Bahadur Baniya handed over the food items to Lakhsya Rural Municipality today.
