Schools in Bajura hit due to cold weather   

Cold is rising in the mountainous district Bajura, the district in the Sudurpaschim Province, affecting the life. People are preferring to stay indoors in the morning and evening due to the biting cold. Schools here have started classes in open by managing a bonfire.   

Rabid dog bites 18 in two days   

A rabid dog indiscriminately bit 18 people in the past two days, Wednesday and Thursday, at Shuklaphanta municipality - 4 and 11 in the district.

Kathmandu Valley experiences year’s coldest day so far today

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the minimum temperature of the Valley was measured at 7.4 degrees Celsius and it was the lowest so far this year. On Monday, it was 8.0 degrees Celsius. The Department has urged one and all to take precautions against the cold.

The Bengal tigers that were frequently seen in the Gavar area of Banke have now reached the Narainapur area of the district. The locals of the area are terrified after a tiger that was seen in the Banke National Park (BNP) area recently entered the national forest of Narainapur.
