Tokha municipality shut after employees contract coronavirus 

Tokha municipality office will remain closed for a week after its employees contracted coronavirus.     Following the diagnosis of coronavirus infection on its employee recently, the municipality is closing its operation from 6-11 September.    

     One more week of prohibitory order in Kaski 

The District Administration Office has extended the prohibitory in the district by one more week, considering the increasing rate of corona virus infection. With the new decision, prohibitory order will remain effect in the district until September 12.   

Two more Corona infected die in Rupandehi 

Two more people have died of Corona virus in the Butwal Corona Special Hospital. A 37-year-old woman of Pratapur rural municipality, Nawalparasi died at 6:00 am this morning while a 40-year-old man of Butwal-11 died last night, according to information officer of the Lumbini provincial hospital, Dr Bishnu Gautam.    

With 14 fatalities, COVID-19 death toll spikes to 271

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday confirmed 14 COVID-19 related deaths. Four females and 10 males succumbed to the virus infection in the last 24 hours, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry, in the daily press briefing today.

74 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Chitwan

In the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests done in the Bharatpur Hospital and Chitwan Medical College, as many as 74 persons, 56 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, three of Ratnanagr, two of Kalika, four of Khairahani and nine of Rapti were found with the virus infection.

No Bhotojatra festival this time  

The Bhotojatra festival associated with Rato Machchhindranath, the deity of rain and good harvest, is not going to take place this year owing to the risk of the coronavirus pandemic.    

COVID-19 patient dies   

A coronavirus infected person being treated at the Corona Special Hospital under Lumbini Provincial Hospital Butwal died today. The 78-year-old male from Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-8, died at 9 am today, Hospital's Information Officer Dr Bishnu Gautam said through a press release.    

CMC begins plasma therapy   

Chitwan Medical College (CMC) has applied a plasma therapy procedure to treat a coronavirus-infected woman for the first time. The plasma therapy was performed on a 52-year-old corona-infected woman of Hetauda sub-metropolis-11.   

Dhorpatan landslide: Four deceased identified   

Four among 14 who lost their lives to the flood and landslide occurred at Dhorpatan rural municipality-9, Bobang on Wednesday evening have been identified. Other 24 are still missing in the landslide.

49 scrub typhus patients recorded in a month
