By Tara Chapagain Dube, Pokhara, Sept. 3: A member of Gandaki State Assembly (SA) has tested positive for COVID-19.
Dr. Bishwobandu Sharma, director of Gandaki State Health Directorate, said, "In the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done on August 30 at Regional Diagnostic Laboratory, a State Assembly member was found to be infected with the novel coronavirus."
The swab sample was collected after a policeman who had come in direct contact with the State lawmaker tested COVID-19 positive.
State Minister for Social Development, Nardevi Pun, on Wednesday, had met the lawmaker.
"We have already prepared a list of those who had come in direct contact with the SA member for PCR test," said Dr. Sharma.
